SAGE CANDIES

Ingredients:


  • 2 tbsp dried sage (0.05$)

  • 100g sugar (0.18$)

  • 2 tbsp water

  • 1 tbsp honey (0.05$)

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • some icing sugar

price: approximately 0.30$




Preparation:


  1. chop sage leaves finely

  2. measure honey and sugar

  3. boil sugar and water at low heat; toss back and forth; remove pan from heat when sugar begins to brown

  4. stir in sage leaves, lemon juice and honey and place on a stovetop until viscous

  5. drop the mixture onto baking paper; as soon as the sweets have cooled down: remove from the paper and dust with icing sugar


Effect:


- relieves cough irritation, expectorant
